Thank you to the primary voters of House District 86.
The primary election has now set the stage for the November general election, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue this conversation with the people of Hamilton and HD86.
As reported in the Bitterroot Star (read article HERE), Wayne Rusk will be the Republican candidate in the general election, and I will be on the ballot as the Democratic candidate running as an independent-minded RINO-CRAT.
I chose the term RINO-CRAT because I believe thoughtful Republicans, Democrats, and independents have more in common than what divides us. Hamilton is not served by political extremes, party labels, or constant division. Hamilton is served by practical leadership, honest conversation, and a representative who listens first.
I am filed as a Democrat, but that does not mean I am running to be a “tax and spend Democrat.” It means I am running where I believe I can best serve the people of Hamilton — by standing up, speaking honestly, and working across the aisle when it benefits our community.
For more than 50 years, I built and operated a business in Hamilton. I know what it means to earn trust, solve problems, work with people from all walks of life, and be judged by competence rather than party talking points.
Montana needs a return to normalcy in government. We need leaders who will protect our healthcare, livelihoods, public lands, local control, and states’ rights from modern-day billionaire interests that too often resemble the copper kings of Montana’s past.
This campaign is about Hamilton. It is about common sense. It is about competence. And it is about bringing people back to the table.
Thank you again to the voters who participated in the primary. I invite you to learn more about this campaign, the RINO-CRAT message, and my vision for House District 86 at rino-crat.com.
